Coverage varies, so be sure and keep a copy of your contract handy. It will have information that is important to your claim. Also, familiarize yourself with any deductible or "non-covered" items when buying an extended warranty. Never assume that the unit is covered for any and everything.

NEVER REMOVE YOUR MODEL AND SERIAL TAG. THIS IS THE ONLY CLEAR WAY OF IDENTIFYING THE PARTS NEEDED TO COMPLETE A REPAIR. USING THE MODEL AND SERIAL TAG, WE CAN DETERMINE WHEN THE UNIT WAS MADE AND THE WARRANTY COVERAGE ON THE UNIT.

PLACEMENT OF MODEL AND SERIAL TAGS VARY, SO ALWAYS LOOK ON BOTH THE DOOR AND THE JAMB SIDES AND TOP. FOR RANGES, LOOK INSIDE THE STORAGE DRAWER UNDER THE OVEN. SOMETIMES IT CAN BE FOUND THERE.
ON TOP LOAD WASHERS OPEN THE LID AND LOOK ON THE TOP INSIDE.
DRYER TAGS CAN BE FOUND IN THE JAMB ALSO. LOOK AROUND, IT CAN BE AT THE TOP OR BOTTOM OF YOUR JAMB.
